We are all pioneers in a brave new world, where our commitment to the greater good, our ability to find meaning and purpose in our lives and to use this meaning and purpose to make a positive difference will determine the evolution or destruction of our world. We each have an important role to play not only in the story of our individual lives, but the evolution of our world. What is your role? What is my role? The desire to understand the meaning and purpose of our life is perhaps the most important desire, the most important quest we share as human beings. However, too many of us are wounded by the actions of others, scarred by events that cause us to give up of forget our most important journey.
And, yet there is a flame in many of us that cannot be extinguished. It is the spark of G-d, the spark of meaning, purpose and potential that once ignited can change a life, many lives and the very world in which we live. The eternal flame that can rekindle meaning, illuminate purpose and engage our true potential to live purposefully in way that builds our intellect, emotional strength and spiritual quotient.
Three powerful Q's, intellectual quotient, emotional quotient and spiritual quotient are the legs of the table of life. We can build them, we can use what we face and experience to grow them or we can live a life of quiet desperation, knowing that there is something important that remains unfulfilled no matter what we do, no matter how much we accomplish.
Will you seize this day to appreciate the power of your intelligence, the power of your emotions and the power of your spiritual connection to help you live purposefully? Is it time to embrace an evolution of self that will help you open your heart, mind and soul to the beauty of life, the ability you have to make a positive difference in the world in which you live?
Are you ready to let go of your need to feel validated by others, and build your ability to find self validation in understanding the meaning of your life and using it to engage your true potential? Only you can answer these questions. But, I implore you to give them serious thought. Because your thoughts have great power to help you live a life of purpose. Each great idea starts with a thought, and in fact our thoughts reach out to others an impact their lives in ways that we have not even begun to understand.
What you think, what you truly believe will impact every cell of your being, every moment you experience, creating what you perceive as reality. What kind of reality will you choose? I believe that we choose our reality because it is our perception of events, and our ability to never lose sight of our true purpose that guides us to our greatest fulfillment and success or not.
Fulfillment and success that cannot be defined by what we acquire, but rather by our ability to find meaning in what we live and purpose in our thoughts and actions. It is well known that after our basic survival needs have been met the additional money or trappings of success has little correlation with happiness. Happiness and fulfillment can only be found in living meaningfully and purposefully in alignment with the intelligence, emotional power and spirituality that defines, re-defines and builds our relationship with our Creator and with our fellow human beings.
What do I know about this relationship? Actually, a great deal because I have suffered, I have nearly lost my life, I have had, lost and re-built wealth and social status only to recognize that the greatest happiness we can find is not in what we get but in what we give. What we share, what we contribute is paramount to our lives. And, I believe that we each have a unique mission on this earth to give, to share, to evolve our potential so that we can make a positive difference through our thoughts, through our actions, through living life on purpose and in service. It is our ability to serve our Creator, our fellow human beings that creates fulfillment and joy. It is our challenge to love others, to recognize that for all the difference among us we are all human beings sharing one planet under G-d, and that what unites us is far greater, far more powerful than that which divides us.
What unites us is the faith, hope, humanity and integrity that can change a life, many lives and our world. It is the ability to transcend our personal circumstances knowing that we can find meaning and purpose in even the most dark and difficult of moments. It is the courage to open our hearts to what is rather than closing them in a tight fist and looking for what we can take.
Success can never be achieved alone. Sustainable financial success means creating value for others, success in our personal lives and careers cannot be achieved without also creating value not only for ourselves but for others. The challenges and the opportunities before us have never been more difficult or more exciting. Within the bleak horizon of a world in financial recession, political and social chaos, we hold the power to solve most of the world's problems, we have the technology, the knowledge and the global communication to rebuild, fix and repair so much of what we have damaged, and to cure illness, poverty and end social injustice.
